Event Concept, Direction & Production

Elegance, art, and magic — three words that define Night at the Opera, a spectacular gala evening in Madrid designed for 200 distinguished guests. Every moment of the event was infused with sophistication, with each detail refined to its highest expression.

The vision for this evening was conceived and led by our Marketing Director and Event Planner, Oksana Zharkova, whose expertise in high-level event production and artistic storytelling shaped the experience from concept to execution. Today, this project forms part of the Étrange Events portfolio, reflecting the creative and organizational depth behind our work.

To bring this vision to life, the legendary Teatro Real, Madrid’s premier opera house, was selected as the venue. For one unforgettable night, it transformed into a sanctuary of refined luxury. The soft glow of crystal chandeliers, majestic décor, and an air of theatrical mystery immersed guests in a world reminiscent of a grand stage production.

The idea of the event

Inspired by the iconic atmosphere of The Phantom of the Opera, the concept was built around the idea of transforming a classical opera setting into a contemporary, immersive experience. Rather than a literal interpretation, the theme was reimagined through refined aesthetics, dramatic contrasts, and carefully curated artistic moments — creating a world that existed for one night only.

The goal was to balance grandeur with elegance, tradition with modernity, and performance with emotion.

Venue & atmosphere

The legendary Teatro Real was chosen as the perfect stage for this vision. Its architectural richness, historic presence, and cultural significance allowed the event to unfold naturally within a space already charged with emotion.

Crystal chandeliers, theatrical lighting, and subtle decorative accents enhanced the venue’s natural beauty, turning it into a sanctuary of refined luxury and dramatic mystery.

Gastronomy & Artistic Program

Art extended beyond the stage into the dining experience. A bespoke gala menu curated by two-Michelin-star chef Ramón Freixa became an integral part of the concept. Each course was designed not only for taste, but for rhythm and storytelling — complementing the pace and emotion of the evening and transforming dinner into a refined gastronomic performance.

The evening then unfolded as a continuous artistic experience. A live string quartet opened the night, setting an elegant and anticipatory tone, followed by ballet performances that added movement and grace. Powerful tenor voices created moments of intensity and awe, while an illusionist and vocalist introduced elements of surprise. The experience culminated in a vibrant and unexpected finale by Manolito Gypsy King, turning the formal atmosphere into pure celebration.

Night at the Opera stands as an example of how artistic vision, strategic planning, and flawless execution come together to create an unforgettable event.
